Words That Bring Joy

Psalm 37:30
“The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom, and their tongues speak what is just.”

At school, there were two friends: Bimo and Rani. Bimo often said harsh things like, “You’re stupid!” which made his friends feel sad and stay away from him. On the other hand, Rani always spoke kindly, saying things like, “Come on, you can do it!” which made her friends feel happy.

One day, Arya failed in a drawing competition and almost cried. Bimo laughed at him, but Rani came and said, “It’s okay, you did your best. Let’s try again—I’ll help you.” Rani’s words encouraged Arya and gave him the courage to try again.

Rehobot Kids, our words can either hurt people or strengthen them. The mouth of a righteous person speaks wisdom—words that are kind, honest, and build others up.

So let’s learn to use our words to bring joy, so others can be encouraged and God can be glorified.
