Wise Steps
Ephesians 5:15
“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise.”
In the school yard, there were two paths leading to the classroom. One path was safe but a little farther, while the other was a shortcut but very slippery. Some children chose the shortcut so they could arrive faster, but they ended up slipping and falling. A path that looks easier is not always the best one.
Rehobot Kids, in life we often face choices like that. Some options may seem quick and easy, but they are wrong. Others may be harder, but they are right and wise.
God wants us to live carefully and wisely. We learn to think before we speak, choose to be honest even when it is difficult, and refuse invitations to do wrong things. That is what it means to live with wisdom.
So, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to take wise steps every day. Choose what is right, not just what is easy, so that our lives will please God.
