Wise and Thankful
Proverbs 1:5
“Let the wise listen and learn even more, and let those with understanding get better guidance.”
Rehobot Kids, have you ever felt annoyed when you had to learn something new? Like when math feels really hard, or when your parents give advice that you don’t always like. Sometimes our hearts get angry fast, or we don’t feel like listening. But actually, through small things like that, God is helping us become wiser.
Proverbs 1:5 reminds us that people who are willing to listen will grow in knowledge and become wiser. That means when we choose to learn and open our hearts, we’re growing into better kids who understand what God wants.
Rehobot Kids, when we learn something new or get corrected, that’s also a chance to be thankful. Why? Because God is shaping us through those lessons and experiences. When you say, “Thank You, God, that I can learn,” your heart feels calmer and you’re more ready to face anything.
Being thankful isn’t always easy, especially when we don’t understand why something is happening. But every time we’re willing to listen and learn, we’re walking toward the wisdom God wants for us.
So today, let’s start with something simple: listen well, learn with an open heart, and thank God. When we do that, we’ll grow into wise kids who are closer and closer to God.
