Walking in God’s Ways
Deuteronomy 5:33
“Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.”
Dear Rehobot Kids, have you ever gone to a place you had never visited before? Without directions or a map, we could get lost and not know which way to go. But if we have a map or someone to show us the right path, we can reach our destination safely. In the same way, God gives us guidance through His Word so that we do not go the wrong way in life.
God teaches us to tell the truth, honor our parents, love our friends, and stay away from evil. When we follow God’s commands, our lives become better and our steps become more directed. It is like a treasure hunt game where we must follow the clues to find the right destination. If we ignore the clues and choose our own path, we may get lost.
Rehobot Kids, God wants us to walk in His ways because He loves us. Every day, we can choose to follow God’s guidance through good attitudes and actions. Even though it is not always easy, God will help us. As we walk in His commands, our hearts are filled with peace, our lives become a blessing to others, and our steps are continually guided by the Lord.
