The Mirror of My Heart
Proverbs 27:19
“As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart.”
Rehobot Kids, have you ever looked at your reflection in calm water? When the water is clear, your face can be seen clearly. But if the water is muddy or wavy, your reflection becomes blurry. God’s Word teaches us that our hearts are like a mirror that shows who we truly are.
Other people may only see our smiles or our actions on the outside. But God sees deep into our hearts. If our hearts are filled with kindness, honesty, gentleness, and love, it will show in our daily attitudes. On the other hand, if our hearts are filled with jealousy, lies, or anger, those things will also be seen in our words and actions.
So let’s ask ourselves: Is my heart clean? Am I honest? Am I willing to forgive? If we realize there is something not right inside us, don’t be ashamed. Come to God and ask Him to cleanse our hearts.
God cares deeply about our hearts. When we keep our hearts clean according to His Word, our lives will glorify Him and become a blessing to others. Let’s keep the mirror of our hearts clear every day.
