Today’s Devotional:
The Last Turn

Philippians 2:3
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,”

At school, Ms. Rina invited the students to make simple cakes. Once they were baked, each child had the chance to pick one cake to take home. Aldi was at the front of the line. He was about to grab the biggest cake. However, when he saw Dimas standing at the very back, Aldi thought, “If I take the biggest one, Dimas might end up with a cake that’s already broken.” In the end, Aldi chose a regular-sized cake. When it was Dimas’s turn, he was still able to get a beautiful, whole cake. Dimas smiled happily.

Ms. Rina saw what Aldi had done. She said, “Love makes us want to think about others, not just ourselves.” Aldi learned that love isn’t just spoken; it is also shown through the small choices we make every day.

Rehobot Kids, sometimes we want to be first or get the best things. But God teaches us to have a humble heart and to care for others. When we are willing to share, yield to others, and consider our friends’ feelings, we are learning to have a character like the Lord Jesus.

Come on, Rehobot Kids—starting today, learn to put others first. Share with joy, don’t just think about yourself, and do every good deed with a sincere heart. Through an attitude like that, others can see God’s love in our lives.
