Stay Close to God
John 15:5
“Whoever remains in Me and I in them will bear much fruit.”
Dear Rehobot Kids, did you know that God wants us to be children who bear good fruit? The fruit Jesus is talking about is not apples or bananas, but good actions such as being honest, helping others, being patient, and showing love to our friends.
But doing the right thing is not always easy. Sometimes we want to get angry, refuse to share, or ignore our parents. That’s why we need God’s help. Jesus teaches us that we can only bear good fruit when we stay close to Him.
Imagine a mango tree. If a branch stays connected to the tree, it receives water and nutrients, and it can grow sweet fruit. But if the branch is broken off from the tree, it dries up and can no longer bear fruit. Our lives are the same. When we stay close to God through prayer, reading His Word, and learning to obey Him, God helps us do what is good.
Rehobot Kids, let’s stay close to God every day. When we remain in Him, He gives us the strength to be loving, helpful, and obedient children who please His heart. With God, we can bear good fruit and become a blessing to others!
