Today’s Devotional Title:
Small Steps in the Morning
Romans 15:13
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him,
so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
That morning, the sky looked cloudy. Reno walked slowly behind his father along a small road near their home. His heart felt heavy because the past few days had not gone the way he hoped. In a soft voice, Reno asked, “Dad, why does everything feel so hard?”
His father stopped for a moment and pointed ahead. “Look at this road. We can’t see the end because there’s a turn and fog.” They kept walking together. After a few more steps, the fog began to thin, and the road ahead became clearer. Dad smiled and said, “Hope is like walking with God. We don’t always know what will happen, but we trust that God leads every step.”
Reno took a deep breath. He continued walking with a lighter heart. The fog had not completely disappeared, but he was no longer afraid. In his heart, Reno said, “I don’t need to know everything right now. I just need to trust.”
Rehobot Kids, hope from God does not always change our situation right away—but it changes our hearts. From worried to calm, from afraid to brave. When we trust God, He fills our hearts with joy and peace.
Even when the road ahead is not clear, God is our source of hope. With God, every small step we take today is enough—because He always walks with us.
