Serving with Love
1 Peter 4:10
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace.”
The school break bell rang loudly. Nina opened her lunch box filled with warm food her mom had made. Just then, she noticed Julia heading toward the cafeteria, but Julia looked like she was struggling to walk. Her leg was still sore from a small accident the day before, and she looked unsure and in pain.
Without thinking twice, Nina walked over to Julia. She asked Julia to sit down again and kindly offered to buy food for her at the cafeteria. Nina did it happily—not because anyone asked her to, but because she truly wanted to help.
Rehobot Kids, from this story we learn that God calls us to serve one another. We may not have big or amazing things to give, but God has already given each of us abilities and chances to help others. When we use what we have with love, it makes God happy.
So let’s learn to be like Nina who care to others’ needs and willing to serve with sincere hearts. When we serve one another, God’s love becomes real through our lives every day.
