Reflecting God’s Love
1 John 4:8
“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
One day at school, the teacher asked every child to make a greeting card for a classmate. Lala was assigned to make a card for Susan, a friend she rarely played with. At first, Lala wanted to make a simple card. However, she remembered that God teaches us to love everyone. So, Lala decorated her card beautifully and wrote words of encouragement. When Susan received the card, she smiled broadly and felt very happy. From that day on, they became closer friends.
Rehobot Kids, the love that comes from God can be seen through simple things. When we speak kindly, help a friend, comfort someone who is sad, or pay attention to someone who is often ignored, we are showing God’s love to them. Good deeds done sincerely can help others feel that God loves them.
God is love. Therefore, as children of God, we are also called to live in love every day. The more we know God, the more our hearts are shaped to love without discrimination and to show kindness to everyone.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, be children who radiate God’s love wherever you are. Show love through kind words, a friendly attitude, and helpful actions. In this way, others can see God’s real love through our lives.
