Today’s Devotion titled:
Quickly Obey God
Psalm 119:60
“I will hasten and not delay to obey Your commands.”
One day, the teacher asked all the students to tidy up their books and get ready to go to the music room. Some of the children did it right away, but Beni chose to keep playing. As a result, he was late to class and missed his teacher’s explanation. Beni also learned that procrastination often makes us miss out on good things.
Rehobot Kids, God also wants us to learn to obey without procrastinating. When we know what is right, don’t wait until later or look for excuses not to do it. A heart that is willing to obey will find it easier to do God’s will.
The faster we respond to God’s guidance, the more sensitive our hearts will become to His voice. We will find it easier to choose honesty, forgiveness, helping others, and doing what pleases God’s heart. Simple obedience every day will help our faith continue to grow.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, learn to obey immediately. When God reminds you through His word, parents, teachers, or the Holy Spirit, do not delay in doing what is right. God is pleased to see children with obedient hearts.
