Prayer Brings Me Closer to God
John 16:24
“Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.”
One day, Lisa felt sad because her friend didn’t invite her to play. Lisa wanted to talk to someone, then she remembered that she could come to God through prayer.
Lisa then prayed, “Lord Jesus, I feel sad today. Thank you because God is always with me. Help me to always have a good heart and trust in You.” After praying, Lisa’s heart became calmer. She learned that God always listens and she is never alone because God is always close to her.
Rehobot Kids, prayer is the way we talk to God. When we pray, we can tell God anything, whether we are happy, sad, scared, or in need of help. Prayer brings us closer to God. In John 16:24, Jesus teaches His disciples to come to God in prayer. We can ask God, but the most important thing in prayer is not just to get what we want, but to learn to trust and know God more closely.
Let’s make prayer a daily habit. When we wake up, before studying, before eating, or before sleeping, we can talk to God. Because God loves to hear our prayers and always wants us to be close to Him.
