Today’s Devotional Title:
Our Hope Only in God
Psalm 31:24
“Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.”
Today, Maya looked very sad. Her mom had fallen in the bathroom and had to be taken to the hospital. The doctor said her mom might need surgery on her leg. When Maya heard that, she felt afraid and kept praying that her mom wouldn’t need the operation.
But the next day, the doctor decided that surgery was necessary so her mom could heal properly. Maya cried and hugged her dad. She was very scared. Her dad comforted her and said, “Keep praying, okay? God will give us strength.”
Maya learned to keep hoping in God. She prayed, “God, please help my mom. Give me strength and peace too.” As she prayed, her heart became calmer. She wasn’t as afraid anymore because she believed God was taking care of her mom.
On the day of the surgery, Maya kept praying. After some time, the doctor came out and said the operation went well. Maya smiled with relief and thanked God.
Rehobot Kids, from this story we learn that God is our only hope. Things may not always happen the way we want, but God always knows what is best. When we hope in Him, He strengthens our hearts and gives us peace.
So let’s learn to put our hope only in God. Because God never disappoints us and is always faithful to help us.
