No Complaining
Philippians 2:14
“Do everything without grumbling or arguing,”
When we are enjoying watching videos or playing games, sometimes Mom or Dad asks us to stop because it is time to study. We may follow their request, but deep inside we still feel upset and keep complaining. Yet God does not only look at what we do; He also pays attention to the attitude of our hearts as we do it.
Sometimes we think, If I am disobedient just once in a while, it surely will not matter. But God wants us to learn that obedience is not something we do only occasionally—it is a habit we practice every day. When we keep training ourselves to obey, we grow into children who love God more and more and do His will.
Rehobot Kids, God does not want us to obey only because we are afraid of being scolded or because we feel forced. He is pleased when we do what is right with a willing and joyful heart. Therefore, let us learn to obey without grumbling or complaining. When we do this with a glad heart, God is honored, our hearts are filled with peace, and we grow into children who bring joy to Him.
