Today’s Devotional:
More Than Just Saying “I Love You”

1 John 3:18
“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

Have you ever seen a friend having a hard time? For example, a friend might have forgotten their pencil, be struggling with an assignment, or not have brought a packed lunch. We could simply say, “Oh, that’s too bad,” but love doesn’t stop at words. When we choose to help, share, or give what we have, we are showing love through our actions.

God’s Word teaches us that true love isn’t just spoken; it is demonstrated through deeds. Saying “I love you” is good, but love becomes real when we actually do something for others. Helping a friend, sharing with a sibling, forgiving someone who made a mistake, and assisting those in need are simple examples of love that we can practice every day.

Rehobot Kids, love doesn’t always have to be shown through big gestures. Simple acts done sincerely can make others feel cared for and loved. Since love comes from God, ask for His help so that we can love not only with words but also through real actions toward our family, friends, teachers, and the people around us.
