Today’s Devotional Title:
Keep Bearing Fruit
Psalm 92:14
“They are planted in the house of the LORD; they flourish in the courts of our God.”
In Grandpa’s yard, there was a very old mango tree. Its trunk was large, and its bark was rough. When the dry season came, some of its leaves turned yellow and fell off. Yet every year, the tree continued to produce many sweet mangoes. One day, Niko asked, “Grandpa, how can that tree still bear fruit even though it’s so old?” Grandpa smiled and replied, “Because its roots are strong and continue to receive water. As long as its roots are healthy, the tree will keep growing and bearing fruit.”
Rehobot Kids, our lives are like that tree. There are times when we face difficulties, such as challenging school lessons, arguments with friends, or disappointment when things do not go as we hoped. In situations like these, we may feel tired and want to give up. However, God’s Word reminds us that those who stay close to the Lord will continue to grow and bear fruit.
The fruit God is looking for in our lives is not mangoes or apples, but the fruit of a godly life—such as love, patience, kindness, perseverance, and faith that continues to trust in Him. These fruits often grow the most when we remain faithful to God during difficult times.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s stay deeply rooted in the Lord through prayer, reading God’s Word, and living in obedience to Him. When we remain close to God, we will continue to grow and keep bearing fruit, no matter what circumstances we face.
