Jesus Is My Best Friend
Matthew 28:20
“…And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Bima has many friends at school. He has friends to play with and a desk mate who likes to share colored pencils. Bima is very happy to have friends, because everything feels more fun when friends are around.
One afternoon, Bima was doing his math homework, and it felt very difficult. He scratched his head and said, “Oh no, this is so hard!” Then Bima remembered what his mom had told him. Mom once said that Jesus is our Best Friend who is always with us, anytime and anywhere. Jesus promised that He would never leave us, even until the end of time.
That night, when Bima was lying in bed and the bedroom lights were turned off, he did not feel afraid. Even though it was dark, Bima felt calm because he knew Jesus was with him and watching over him all night long. His heart felt safe and peaceful.
Rehobot Kids, maybe you have felt like Bima too—having trouble with homework, feeling scared when the room is dark, or feeling lonely. Remember this: Jesus is a Friend who never leaves. Wherever you go and whatever you do, Jesus is always with you.
