Inner Beauty
1 Peter 3:4
“But your beauty should come from your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”
When we go to a jewelry store, we see necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings displayed beautifully. Everything looks shiny and expensive. Jewelry is indeed beautiful and valuable. Many people want to wear it to look attractive on the outside.
But did you know, Rehobot Kids? There is jewelry that is far more valuable than gold and gems. It is inner beauty—the beauty that is in our hearts. This beauty is invisible to the eye, but it is very valuable in the eyes of God. A gentle, patient, non-confrontational, and peaceful heart is jewelry that will never be damaged or destroyed.
God looks at our hearts more than our outward appearance. A calm attitude, a willingness to yield, not repaying evil with evil, and loving sincerely show that we have a beautiful heart. Jewelry like this makes God happy.
Rehobot Kids, let’s continue to learn to guard our hearts every day. God cares about what is in our hearts, not just what others see. If we realize that we have a bad attitude, let’s repent immediately and ask God to reshape our hearts. Let’s wear our “inner jewelry” every day so that our lives will please God.
