Today’s devotion title:
Home Sweet Home
Psalm 127:1
“A song of Solomon for those going up to Jerusalem. If the Lord doesn’t build the house, the builders work for nothing. If the Lord doesn’t watch over the city, the guards stand watch for nothing.”
Rehobot Kids, have you ever felt like your home is the most comfortable place ever? At home you can rest, eat good food, play, study, and hang out with your family. But did you know? Not everyone has a safe and comfy home like we do.
Psalm 127:1 reminds us that the safety and peace we feel at home doesn’t come from how big the house is or how many cool things are inside it. We can feel secure because God is the One who is with us and protects the family living there. Without God’s care, all human effort still wouldn’t give real peace.
Think about this: you could have a huge house, but if everyone inside is always fighting, it wouldn’t feel nice at all, right? On the other hand, even if your house is small, but your family loves each other and God is there, it feels safe, warm, and happy. That’s what “Home Sweet Home” really means—a home that feels sweet, cozy, and full of love.
God gives us a home, a family, and protection every day. He watches over us when we sleep, when we study, and even when we play. So we should learn to be thankful, not complain or compare our home to someone else’s.
Rehobot Kids, starting today, let’s learn to say thank You to God. Be thankful for your home, for the family who loves you, and for God who always watches over our house. Because only with God, our home can truly be a real “Home Sweet Home”!
