His Light Shines
Psalm 27:1
“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”
Rehobot Kids, have you ever heard the song, “The sun’s light is not as bright as Your light”? This song reminds us that God is the greatest light in our lives. He lights our path and watches over every step we take, even when things feel dark.
Sometimes we face things that make us afraid—like problems at school, difficulties in learning, or friends inviting us to do something wrong. For example, being asked to tease someone or start a fight. In situations like that, God wants us to be brave and say “no,” and choose what is right—even if it means we might be left out or seen as different.
God’s Word reminds us that nothing is greater than His power. He is our light and our stronghold. That means God protects us and gives us courage when we feel afraid. Just like the story of Ruth, who stayed faithful in difficult times, God will never leave us.
Rehobot Kids, when we stay close to God, our hearts will be filled with courage and hope. Problems may not disappear right away, but God is always with us—like a rainbow that appears after the rain.
