Today’s Devotional Title:
Held in God’s Loving Arms
Psalm 145:18
“The LORD is near to all who call on Him,
to all who call on Him in truth.”
Rehobot Kids, during Sunday School we often sing the song “Ku Mau Cinta Yesus” (I Want to Love Jesus). In that song, there is a line that says “even though storms may come again and again.” This means that even when life is not always easy and problems come our way, we still choose to love and trust God. Today’s Bible verse reminds us that God is always near to children who truly call on Him and put their hope in Him.
God hears every one of our prayers and always walks with us. But sometimes, we only remember God when problems come. When we are happy, laughing, or playing, we forget to pray and forget to say thank You. Yet God wants us to come to Him at all times—both when we are happy and when we are sad.
Rehobot Kids, God wants us to hope in Him every day. At school, we can show God’s love by listening to our teachers, studying diligently, and being kind to others. God does not look for the smartest or the strongest children, but for hearts that are humble and willing to obey.
There are two important things God teaches us. First, to have a humble heart that truly loves God. Second, to have a desire to always seek God every day. The steps are simple—pray, read the Bible, and live according to God’s Word.
Rehobot Kids, don’t walk alone. God wants us to feel His presence in our lives every single day. Give your heart and thoughts to God, because without Him we can do nothing. Let’s always walk with God and stay close, wrapped in His loving arms.
