God Sees the Heart
1 Samuel 16:7
“…The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
At school, there is usually someone who looks very cool. Maybe they are great at sports, always wear new shoes, have many friends, and lots of followers on social media. Many people want to be friends with them because they look impressive. But what we see on the outside is not always the same as what is inside the heart.
On the other hand, there may be a quiet friend. Their clothes are simple, and they don’t stand out much. Yet when they see someone struggling to carry books, they quickly help without being asked. They are not looking for praise or trying to look great. They simply want to do good.
Rehobot Kids, we often choose friends based on what we see on the outside. But God does not see the way humans see. God looks at the heart. God is pleased with children whose hearts are full of love, sincerity, and willingness to help without showing off.
Being valuable is not about being the most popular or the coolest. What is most precious in God’s eyes is a good heart. Today, try doing one small act of kindness—help a friend, pick up trash, or comfort someone who is sad. Remember, God always sees your heart.
