Today’s Devotional Title:
God Is Our Safe Place

Psalm 46:1
“God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.”

Shalom, Rehobot Kids!
Have you ever seen very heavy rain that keeps falling and doesn’t stop? The water on the streets begins to rise, drains overflow, and sometimes water can even enter houses. When that happens, we feel scared and quickly think, “I need to find a safe and higher place!” We want to be somewhere dry and protected.

Did you know? Our hearts can also experience a “flood.” But this flood doesn’t come from rain—it comes from problems. For example, getting a score that’s not as good as we hoped (like light rain that makes us sad), arguing with a friend (like strong wind that makes us upset), and feeling afraid or confused about something we don’t understand. When all of these happen at the same time, our hearts can feel overwhelmed and uneasy.

Today’s Bible verse reminds us that God is our true place of safety. When our hearts feel “flooded” by problems, God is the safe place we can run to. We are not alone. God is always ready to help us and give us strength.

Rehobot Kids, if your heart feels sad, scared, or confused, come to God in prayer. Tell Him everything that is in your heart. God will give you peace, strength, and a feeling of safety. God is our refuge. Let’s trust Him with all our hearts.
