Today’s Devotional Title:
God Is My Protector
Psalm 121:7–8
“The LORD will keep you from all harm—
He will watch over your life;
the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.”
Rehobot Kids, have you ever felt scared when walking in a dark place or when you hear strange noises at night? Usually, we feel much calmer when Mom, Dad, or another adult is nearby. We know someone is watching over us, so our hearts don’t feel afraid anymore.
Psalm 121:7–8 reminds us that God is the Protector of our lives. God doesn’t only watch over us when we pray or when we are at church. From the moment we wake up in the morning, go to school, play, study, and until we go back to sleep at night, God keeps us with His loving care.
Sometimes we don’t even realize the dangers God has protected us from. God may have kept us safe from sickness, accidents, or things we cannot see. Even when we don’t know everything, God knows—and He faithfully watches over us all the time.
Because God is always protecting us, we don’t need to live in fear. We can go through each day with calm and joyful hearts. When we wake up in the morning, we can say, “Thank You, God, for taking care of me.” At night, we can sleep peacefully knowing that God is still watching over us.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to fully trust God and be thankful for every day we live. We are always safe in God’s loving care.
