Today’s devotional is titled:
God Examines My Heart
Jeremiah 17:10
“I, the LORD, search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”
Shalom, Rehobot Kids! Have you ever done something good just to be praised? Or acted nice in front of your teacher, but behaved differently behind their back? People usually can only see what is on the outside. But God is different. God sees deep into our hearts.
Today’s verse reminds us that God searches the heart and examines the mind. That means God knows the reason behind everything we do. He knows whether we help others sincerely or just want to be praised. He knows whether we say sorry wholeheartedly or only because we don’t want to get into trouble.
God is not looking for perfect children, but for children with honest hearts. If our hearts are not right, God wants to correct and shape us. If our hearts are sincere, God is pleased and will bless our steps.
So every day, let’s pray, “Lord, examine my heart. Help me to have a sincere and clean heart.” When our hearts are right before God, our lives will walk on the right path too.
Remember, Rehobot Kids, God sees deeper than anyone else. So let’s live with honest hearts that please Him.
