Giving and Receiving
Luke 6:38
“Give, and it will be given to you… For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”
That afternoon, Kevin was stacking blocks in the Sunday School room. His tower was almost finished when he noticed Nia sitting quietly. Her blocks were scattered everywhere, and she looked like she was about to cry. Kevin paused for a moment, then invited Nia to play together. Happily, Kevin lent her some of his blocks. They built a new tower that was even stronger and laughed together.
When the service began, the Sunday School teacher read Luke 6:38, “Give, and it will be given to you.” Kevin listened carefully. He started to understand that sharing doesn’t make us lose anything. Instead, God promises to give back in His own beautiful way. Kevin’s heart felt peaceful and full of joy.
After the service, Kevin helped his friends stack the chairs without being asked. He felt happy because he could help. At home, Kevin prayed and thanked God for the chance to share that day.
Rehobot Kids, when we give with sincere hearts, God never lets it go to waste. Luke 6:38 teaches us that blessings often come through a willing and generous attitude. So let’s learn to give our time, attention, and kindness every day. When we give, God’s love fills our lives with joy.
