Today’s Devotional Title:
Fruit from the Heart

Luke 6:45
“A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart… For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.”

One day, Dimas became upset because his deskmate accidentally knocked over his pencil case. All of his pencils and stationery scattered across the floor. Without thinking, Dimas immediately shouted, “You’re so careless!” His friend remained silent and then helped pick up the scattered pencils while apologizing.

After school, Dimas remembered what his teacher had said, “What comes out of our mouths often shows what is inside our hearts.” Dimas realized that his harsh words came from allowing anger to take control of his heart. He then prayed and asked God to help him have a more patient and loving heart.

Rehobot Kids, Jesus teaches us that our hearts are like a tree, while our words and actions are its fruit. If our hearts are filled with love, patience, and kindness, the fruit we produce will also be good. But if our hearts are filled with anger, jealousy, or hatred, those things will be revealed through our words and actions.

That is why God does not only look at what we do outwardly, but He also pays attention to the condition of our hearts. As we faithfully pray, read God’s Word, and stay close to Him, God will help our hearts grow better and produce fruit that pleases Him.

Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s ask God to fill our hearts with His love. May our words and actions become good fruit that brings joy to others and glorifies God’s name.
