Counting Our Days
Psalm 90:12
“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
Let’s take a look at a simple rhyme:
Going on a trip to Bali (cakep),
Don’t forget to enjoy rice from Bali (cakep).
Let’s learn to count each day,
And prepare our hearts to bless others along the way.
This simple rhyme reminds us that every day is an opportunity to do good things and please God’s heart. A wise heart is formed through the small choices we make each day. For example, during a holiday, will we spend hours playing on our phones, or will we take time to talk and share a meal with our parents?
Small things matter too. When a younger sibling is struggling with homework, do we help them, or do we make fun of them? God teaches us to have a wise heart through our everyday actions—through kind words and loving deeds.
Rehobot Kids, let’s start with simple things. Use our mouths to speak kind words and our hands to help others. When we do things that please God every day, our lives will become a blessing to our family and friends.
