Choosing to Do Good
Romans 13:10
“Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”
After PE class ended, Bimo saw Andi accidentally fall down on the field. Some children immediately laughed, and some even teased him because his clothes got dirty. Bimo felt the urge to join in the laughter. However, he imagined how he would feel if he were the one who had fallen. In the end, Bimo went over to Andi, helped him up, and asked, “Are you okay?” Andi smiled, feeling cared for.
Rehobot Kids, love is often shown through simple things. We can show love by not teasing friends, speaking the truth, using kind words, helping friends in need, or comforting friends who are sad. Small actions like these can help others experience God’s goodness.
Sometimes we feel annoyed or want to retaliate when we are treated poorly. However, God will help us choose to do what is right. When we choose to do good, our hearts are shaped to become more patient, loving, and caring toward others.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s be children who always choose to do good. Speak gently, be honest, and don’t hesitate to help anyone in need. Through every good deed, others can see God’s love clearly in our lives.
