Today’s devotional is titled:
Bringing Joy
Proverbs 15:13
“A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.”
One day at school, Gita saw Dina sitting alone in the classroom. Dina’s face looked gloomy and not like her usual self. Gita came closer and gently asked, “What’s wrong? You look sad.” Dina answered softly, “I just don’t feel very excited today.”
Seeing her friend so sad, Gita felt moved to do something. After school, she took some colorful yarn and began weaving a small doll. A few times she made mistakes and had to start again, but Gita didn’t give up. She wanted to make something that could cheer Dina up.
The next day, Gita gave the little doll to Dina with a smile. “This is for you. I hope it makes you happy,” she said. Dina was surprised and smiled brightly. Her gloomy face turned cheerful. Seeing Dina’s smile made Gita’s heart fill with joy too.
Rehobot Kids, what Gita did was simple, but it brought great joy. God’s Word reminds us that a joyful heart makes the face shine. When we care, comfort, and do good, we become bringers of joy to others.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to be bringers of joy at home, at school, and wherever we are. A smile, kind words, and small acts of care can make someone’s day much more beautiful.
