Today’s devotion title:
Bringing Comfort

2 Corinthians 1:4
“He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

Hi, Rehobot Kids!
Have you ever seen a friend feeling sad because they got a bad grade, or because nobody asked them to play? What do you usually do? Sometimes people laugh at them, ignore them, or even stay away too. When we act like that, our hearts get hard and we stop caring about how others feel.

God’s Word says that God comforts us so we can comfort other people. For example, when you once failed at something and then your mom, your teacher, or your friend encouraged you with prayer or kind words, you know how it feels to be cheered up. So when your friend is sad, you can do the same thing: help them, sit with them, or simply say, “You can do it!”

Think about a soccer team. A team doesn’t win because of just one player. It’s the same with us—we need to remember that every good thing comes from God. A thankful heart makes it easier for us to share joy and comfort with others.

Learning to be thankful helps us stop complaining and start noticing God’s blessings every day. When our hearts are full of thankfulness, we become more sensitive and ready to help friends who are sad. God wants us to be comfort-givers—bringing light, joy, and love through simple actions like inviting a friend to play, sharing your snack, or praying for them.

So let’s do it, Rehobot Kids! Be kids who bring comfort. Just like God comforts us, we are also called to comfort others and spread joy to everyone around us!
