Today’s devotion title:
Being Thankful by Learning to Say “Enough”

Hebrews 13:5
“Don’t be greedy for money. Be satisfied with what you have, because God has said, ‘I will never leave you; I will never abandon you.’”

Hi, Rehobot Kids!
Have you ever really wanted a new toy again and again, even though you already have lots at home? Sometimes our hearts get unhappy so easily. We start wanting new shoes, the newest gadget, or a cooler toy than our friends have. If we keep comparing, our hearts can get jealous and we’ll never feel satisfied.

God’s Word reminds us to learn to be okay with what we already have. God Himself promises He will never leave us. That means He always takes care of us and gives us what we need. For example, a kid with an old ball can still have tons of fun playing with friends. He doesn’t get jealous of someone with a brand-new ball, because he knows real joy comes from a thankful heart, not from expensive stuff. It’s okay to want things, but we shouldn’t let those wants control our hearts so much that we forget to be thankful.

When our hearts are thankful, we can be happy even if we don’t have everything. God knows what’s best for us—even before we ask Him. So, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to be content, stop comparing ourselves to others, and thank God for the blessings we already have.

When we’re thankful, our hearts feel lighter, life feels happier, and we become more ready to help other people too!
