Today’s Devotional Title:
Being Children of the Light
Ephesians 5:9
“For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth.”
One day at school, the teacher asked all the students to complete their assignments on their own. When the teacher stepped out of the classroom for a moment, some students began copying each other’s answers. Dimas saw what was happening and felt confused when his friends invited him to join them.
“Come on, Dimas, it’s easy!” one of them said.
But Dimas remembered what he had learned in Sunday School—that God’s children should live in goodness and truth. Even though he was a little afraid his friends might make fun of him, Dimas chose to do his own work and stay honest.
When the teacher returned, she discovered that some students had been cheating. She praised Dimas for choosing to do the right thing. Dimas felt happy because he knew that God was pleased with his honesty too.
Rehobot Kids, God wants us to be children of the light. Children of the light choose to be honest, do good things, help others, and stand for what is right—even when it is not easy. Our lives can become a good example to the people around us.
So let’s learn to be children of the light every day—at home, at school, and wherever we go. May others see God’s love through our attitudes and actions!
