Being a Faithful Friend
Proverbs 17:17
“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.”
One morning at school, Aldi saw his friend, Kevin, sitting alone during recess. It turned out Kevin was sad because he had received a poor grade on a test. While the other friends played outside, Aldi chose to approach Kevin. He listened to Kevin, comforted him, and then invited him to study together so they could prepare better for the next test. Kevin no longer felt alone and was grateful to have a caring friend.
Rehobot Kids, a true friend is present not only when things are fun but also when a friend is facing difficulties. Being a faithful friend means being willing to listen, comfort, encourage, and help without expecting anything in return. Sincere love makes a friendship grow stronger.
Sometimes, our friends need attention more than gifts. A smile, encouraging words, or simply keeping them company when they are sad can lift their spirits. God is pleased to see children who love and encourage one another.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s be faithful friends every day. Stand by your friends in both happy and sad times, offer encouragement when they need it, and show love through sincere care. In this way, others can experience God’s love through our lives.
