Beautiful Fruit from the Heart
Galatians 5:22–23
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”
Hi, Rehobot Kids! Have you ever seen a tree full of beautiful fruit? People can tell that the tree is healthy because its fruit looks good and tastes sweet. Well, God’s children also have “fruit” that can be seen—but not the kind you eat! The Bible calls it the Fruit of the Spirit. The Fruit of the Spirit is a sign that God is working in our hearts.
The Fruit of the Spirit includes love, joy, patience, kindness, and gentleness. When we stay close to God, these good fruits become more visible in our lives. For example, when you want to get angry but choose to be patient, or when you comfort a friend who is sad, it means God is helping you produce good fruit.
Imagine your heart is like a little garden. If the garden is cared for and watered every day, beautiful flowers and fruit will grow. But if it is neglected, the garden will become dry. Our hearts are the same. When we pray, read God’s Word, and learn to obey Him, God grows beautiful fruit in our lives.
Rehobot Kids, let’s stay close to God every day. The closer we are to Him, the more good fruit will grow in our lives. Then other people will be able to experience God’s love through our attitudes and actions!
