Today’s devotional is titled:
Asking God for Wisdom
James 1:5
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
Rehobot Kids, sometimes we feel confused about what we should do. For example, when friends are arguing and we don’t know how to respond, or when we have to choose between playing first or finishing our homework. In moments like these, we need wisdom.
Wisdom is the ability to understand what is right and to choose to do what is good. The good news is that God is willing to give us wisdom when we ask Him. When we feel confused, we can come to God in prayer and ask for His help.
Just like we ask our teacher when we don’t understand a lesson, we can also ask God. God does not get angry when we ask for wisdom. Instead, He is pleased when we come to Him with a trusting heart.
So, Rehobot Kids, if you feel confused or unsure about what to choose, pray to God. Ask Him for wisdom. God will help you make good choices that please His heart.
