Today’s Devotional Title:
A Small Light in Aira’s Room

1 John 4:18
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear.”

Aira did not like the dark. Every night when the bedroom light was turned off, the shadows on the wall looked big, and small sounds felt scary. One night, the fear felt stronger than usual. Aira softly said to her mom, “Mom, I’m scared…”

Her mom sat beside Aira and gently said, “God loves you. God’s love is always with you, even when the room is dark.” Then Mom turned on a small lamp in the corner of the room. The light was not bright, but it was enough for Aira to see around her. Mom said, “Fear is like darkness, and God’s love is like light. When we remember God’s love, fear goes away.”

Aira closed her eyes and prayed a short prayer. She remembered that God was watching over her and would never leave her. Slowly, her heart became calm, and she fell asleep peacefully.

Rehobot Kids, God’s Word teaches us that God’s love is greater than our fears. When we remember that God loves us and takes care of us, our hearts become calm. God’s love is the light that drives fear away.

If one day you feel afraid, pray and say, “God, thank You because Your love is always with me.” Trust this—God’s loving light will bring peace to your heart.
