Today’s devotional title:
A Small Light from My Heart
Matthew 5:16
“Let your light shine before others, so they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
Hi, Rehobot Kids! Have you ever felt like you don’t have much to share? Maybe you only have one pencil, a little bit of food, or just some time to sit with a friend. But did you know? God can use small things to become big blessings.
In today’s verse, Jesus tells us that every good thing we do—including sharing—is a way for God’s light to shine through us. Sharing doesn’t always mean giving expensive things. Sometimes sharing means lending an eraser, sharing your lunch, helping a friend who’s having trouble, or listening when a friend feels sad. Even though our hands are small, God can use them to bring light to others. God doesn’t ask us to have a lot—He just wants a caring and loving heart.
When we share with joy, we learn to notice what other people need and show God’s love through simple actions. Our hearts also become softer and more peaceful.
So let’s start today, Rehobot Kids—learn to share at home, at school, and at church. With a small light from your heart, your life can shine and become a blessing to many people, so God’s name is praised.
