Today’s Devotional:
A New Friend

John 15:12
“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”

On Monday morning, the teacher introduced a new student named Natan. He had just moved from another city and looked nervous. During recess, while almost all the children played with their friends, Natan sat alone, opening his packed lunch. Alya noticed Natan. Even though she wanted to play with her best friends, she approached Natan and said, “Hi, my name is Alya. May I sit here?” They chatted and ate together, and then Alya invited Natan to play with the other children.

A few days later, Natan said, “Thank you, Alya. When I first started school, I was afraid I wouldn’t have any friends. But you made me feel welcome.” Alya smiled. She realized that love isn’t always shown through big things. Simple acts of friendliness, attentiveness, and care can make someone feel loved.

Rehobot Kids, we too can show love every day. Greeting friends warmly, inviting a lonely friend to play, speaking gently, or helping a friend in need are simple ways to share God’s love. Small, sincere actions can bring joy to others.

Come on, Rehobot Kids, be children who bring love wherever you go. Don’t hesitate to welcome new friends, care for others, and do good every day. Through our words and actions, others can experience God’s real love in their lives.
