Today’s devotion titled:
A Letter for Father
John 14:23
“Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
One day, the teacher asked every child to write about the person they loved most. Maya immediately wrote about her father. She wrote, “I love Father because he always takes care of me, teaches me, and helps me when I have difficulties.” That afternoon, Maya showed what she had written to her father. Father smiled happily and said, “Thank you, Maya. I am glad to read it.”
A few days later, Father asked Maya to tidy up her toys before she went to play at a friend’s house. But Maya replied, “Later, Father.” The next day, Father reminded her again to organize her study desk, but Maya gave the same answer. That evening, Maya remembered what she had written earlier. She realized that even though she often said she loved her father, she was not always willing to listen and do what he asked. Maya quickly put her toys in order and apologized to her father. Father smiled and gave her a hug.
Rehobot Kids, love is not only spoken in words, but also shown through actions. It is the same with our love for God. When we follow His word and live according to His will, we show that we truly love Him. God is pleased to see children who do not only hear His word, but also put it into practice with an obedient and loving heart.
