Today’s devotional title:
A Heart That Wants to Help

Proverbs 19:17
“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord.”

Hi, Rehobot Kids! Have you ever seen a friend who looked sad, hungry, or was having a hard time? Maybe a friend forgot to bring a pencil, or someone was sitting alone because they had no one to play with. When we see things like that, God wants our hearts to be moved to help.

God doesn’t always ask us to do big, amazing things. Very often, small things mean a lot. For example, lending a pencil, sharing your lunch, or sitting with a friend who feels sad. Even though these things look simple, they are very precious to God.

Imagine if you fell down and hurt your knee, and then a friend came and said, “It’s okay, I’ll stay with you.” You would feel calmer and happier, right? It’s the same when we help others—they can feel God’s love through what we do.

The verse we read today means that every time we help someone, God sees it and is pleased. So, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to have caring hearts that are ready to help. Don’t wait until you’re grown up to do good things. Start with small acts every day, because through our simple actions, God’s love can become real to many people.
