Today’s Devotional Title:
A Child Who Bears Fruit

Philippians 1:11
“Filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.”

Rehobot Kids, have you ever seen a mango tree loaded with fruit? People are happy to see it because its fruit is sweet and useful. On the other hand, a tree that does not bear fruit does not provide much benefit to others. In the same way, God wants our lives to produce good fruit. But the fruit God is talking about is not mangoes, oranges, or apples. It is the fruit of righteousness that can be seen in our daily attitudes and actions.

In Philippians 1:11, Paul prayed that believers would be filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ. This means that we do not produce this fruit by our own strength. Jesus works in our hearts and helps us grow into children who please Him more and more.

When our lives are filled with God, our character begins to look more like Christ’s character. We learn to be honest, helpful, obedient to our parents, loving toward our friends, and willing to forgive others. The fruit of righteousness is seen in the words we speak, the attitudes we show, and the actions we take every day.

When people see the good things we do, they can experience God’s love through our lives. In this way, our lives become a blessing to others and bring glory to God. That is the purpose of the fruit of righteousness that God grows in us.

Today, let’s pray that Jesus will continue to produce the fruit of righteousness in our lives. May our lives reflect the character of Christ and bring glory to His name.
