Today’s Devotional titled:
God’s Word is a Lamp for My Path

Psalm 119:105
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

Shalom, Rehobot Kids! Have you ever been walking around your house at night when the lights suddenly went out? The room became pitch black. You might have stubbed your toe on a table leg, tripped over scattered toys, or felt scared because you couldn’t see what was in front of you. Walking in the dark isn’t easy because we don’t clearly know where to step.

In the past, before electric lights or flashlights existed, people used oil lamps for illumination. These lamps were usually small containers filled with oil and a lit wick. While the light didn’t illuminate a vast area all at once, it was enough to help a person see the path ahead and walk more safely.

Rehobot Kids, we also need a light in our lives so we don’t take the wrong steps. God’s Word helps us understand what is right and how we ought to live. When we are confused about whether to tell the truth or lie, to forgive or retaliate, or to obey our parents or follow our own desires, the truth we have learned helps us make choices that align with God’s will.

Come on, Rehobot Kids—let’s be diligent in reading, understanding, and putting God’s Word into practice every day! Let His truth guide our every step. When our lives are directed by God’s Word, we can also become a light through good words and actions—at home, at school, at tutoring classes, while playing, and wherever we go. Keep shining, Rehobot Kids!
