Today’s Devotional:
Love from the Holy Spirit

Romans 5:5
“And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

One day, Niko was upset with Beni because Beni had accidentally broken his craft project. Niko wanted to get angry and refused to speak to Beni anymore. However, when he saw Beni sincerely apologizing, Niko prayed silently, asking God to help him forgive. Finally, Niko said, “I forgive you, but please be more careful next time.” Together, they fixed the broken craft project.

Rehobot Kids, sometimes we find it hard to love someone, especially when that person disappoints or angers us. But we don’t have to rely on our own strength. The Holy Spirit helps us have love, patience, and gentleness, enabling us to do what God desires.

When we ask for God’s help, the Holy Spirit helps us choose to forgive instead of retaliate, speak gently instead of saying hurtful things, and keep doing good even when it isn’t easy. The more we follow His leading, the more God’s love shines through our attitudes and actions.

Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s ask for the Holy Spirit’s help every day so we can love others sincerely. When loving feels difficult, remember that God is always ready to help and empower us. May His love fill our hearts and be felt by those around us.
