Caring Sinta
Romans 12:15
“Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.”
One day at school, the teacher announced the results of a drawing contest. Lena won first place, and all her friends applauded her. Sinta congratulated her and shared in the joy of her best friend’s success. A few days later, Sinta saw Lena sitting alone and crying because her pet cat had died. Sinta approached Lena, listened to her story, and stayed with her until she felt calmer.
Rehobot Kids, love isn’t shown only by giving gifts or helping out. Love is also seen when we care about how others feel. When our friends are happy, we rejoice with them, free from envy. When they are sad, we are willing to listen, comfort, and pray for them.
Having a caring heart teaches us to pay attention to the people around us. Sometimes, what a friend needs isn’t a gift, but rather our presence, attention, and words of encouragement. Through attitudes like this, we can be a blessing to others.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to have a loving heart every day. Share in your friends’ happiness and don’t hesitate to comfort those who are sad. In this way, others can experience God’s love through our words and actions.
