Learning to Give Like Jesus
1 John 3:16
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.”
One day, the school organized an event to collect school supplies for children in need. Students could bring pencils, notebooks, erasers, or other school items. Nadia had a brand-new pencil case that she really loved. At first, she wanted to keep it for herself. However, with a joyful heart, Nadia chose to give away some of her own stationery so other children could use it. She felt happy knowing she could help someone.
Rehobot Kids, love is shown not only by what we say but also by what we do. We can show love by willingly sharing, helping those in need, and being unselfish. Giving isn’t always about the quantity; it is about having a sincere and loving heart.
When we are willing to share, we learn to have a generous heart that cares for others. God delights in seeing children use their time, energy, attention, and possessions to be a blessing to others. Even a simple act of kindness can bring joy to the person receiving it.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to give with joy every day. Don’t hesitate to share with those in need, and do every good deed with a sincere heart. Through a life of giving, others can experience the love of God working within us.
