Love Is Patient and Kind
1 Corinthians 13:4
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.”
Have you ever been busy playing with a new toy when suddenly your younger sibling wanted to play with it too? You might have wanted to say, “This is mine—I had it first!” However, you could choose to be patient and give your sibling a turn. When you say, “Do you want to try it first? Go ahead,” you are learning to share and bringing joy to your sibling.
Rehobot Kids, love is shown through patience and kindness. We don’t always have to be first or get the best things. When we are willing to share toys, let others take a turn, or hold back our anger, we are showing love through simple actions.
Yielding to others doesn’t mean we lose. In fact, it takes a big heart to put others first. When we think beyond just our own desires, the atmosphere at home becomes more peaceful, and our relationship with our siblings improves.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to be patient and kind. Don’t always insist on winning or going first. Learn to share, yield to others, and bring joy to those around you. Through our attitude, God’s love can be felt by our families and the people around us.
