Love That Unites
Colossians 3:14
” And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
Angel and Rinta were close friends. One afternoon, they went to the mall with their moms. After accompanying their moms while they shopped, Angel and Rinta played in the arcade and lost track of time. Rinta’s mom reminded them to eat first. When the food was ready, Angel was about to start eating right away. “Wait, don’t eat just yet, Angel. Let’s pray first,” said Rinta. Angel smiled sheepishly. They then prayed according to their respective beliefs.
Rehobot Kids, in our daily lives, we may have friends who hold different beliefs. Even though we are different, we must still respect and love one another. We should not mock, shun, or treat someone poorly simply because they are different from us.
God’s love teaches us to be kind to everyone without discrimination. We can show love by being friendly, respecting others, helping friends in need, and living in peace with everyone. Differences should not stop us from being friends and respecting each other.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, be children who bring love wherever you go. Respect your friends and show kindness to everyone, including those who have different beliefs than we do. Through a loving attitude, others can experience God’s goodness through our lives.
