Today’s Devotion titled:
Pray as Jesus Taught
Matthew 6:9–13
“This, then, is how you should pray: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”
One day, Rani wanted to write a letter to her grandmother, but she was confused about where to start. Mama then taught her to start the letter with a greeting, express gratitude, share her news, and then close the letter properly. After following Mama’s instructions, Rani successfully wrote a beautiful and easy-to-understand letter.
Rehobot Kids, the Lord Jesus also teaches us the right way to pray. In the Lord’s Prayer, we learn to praise God, express our needs, forgive others, and surrender our lives to God’s will. Prayer is not just about asking for something, but also about building a close relationship with the Father in heaven.
When we pray as Jesus taught, our hearts are shaped to love God and others more. We learn to be grateful for His blessings, trust in His providence, and live in obedience to His will every day.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, make prayer a daily habit. Learn to pray with a sincere heart, full of gratitude, and trust in God. The more often we come to Him, the more we understand His love, and life becomes more pleasing to Him.
