Agreed to Pray
Acts 1:14
“They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.”
Cindy is reading the Bible in her room. This year, she has set a goal to read the entire Bible, from the Book of Genesis to the Book of Revelation. While reading, Cindy remembered that the disciples of Jesus often gathered and waited for the Lord together. That made her long to have prayer time with her family again. In the past, they used to pray together regularly, but due to their individual busyness, that habit began to fade.
Cindy then left her room and met her Dad and Mom. She expressed her longing to rebuild the family prayer altar every day. Dad and Mom were very happy to hear Cindy’s wish. They agreed that starting that night, they would set aside time to pray together as a family.
Rehobot Kids, praying together as a family strengthens us, makes us pray for each other, and brings us closer to God. When facing difficulties, we do not feel alone because our family comes together to approach God. Through prayer, God provides peace, hope, and strength to face each day.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s revive the habit of praying together as a family. Take time every day to gather, read the Word of God, and pray together. God is pleased to see families united in heart seeking Him and building a close relationship with Him.
